When I was first coming up with the concept for this soap, I knew I wanted to incorporate Ukraine's national flower, the Sunflower and the idea of hope. "Sunflowers for Ukraine" was the initial title and concept. It seemed nice but... passive. And the people of Ukraine have made it very clear that their resistance to Russia's invasion will be anything but.
The more I thought about it, the more I knew that I had to focus on the resilience, strength, and determination of the people of Ukraine.
So instead, I present "Russian Warship, Go F*ck Yourself"
Scent Description:
A glycerin soap in the colors of the Ukrainian national flag, infused with the scent of the wildflowers, some of the native flowers of Ukraine (lily, iris, rose) and the symbolic Sunflower (which doesn't have a traditional floral scent but wild varieties are said to have a green, resinous scent), bolstered by deep woods and illuminated with bright citrus and a drop of golden honey.
Not your grandma's floral, this scent is floral and woodsy, resinous and sweet.
Perhaps more importantly, all proceeds for the sale of this soap will directly benefit two charities:
UN Refugee Agency:
It's not just native Ukrainians who are trying to flee. Students, workers, refugees and asylum seekers from other countries who have called Ukraine home are having difficulty leaving. The UN Refugee Agency is providing on the ground assistance and protection to all who need it.
Doctors Without Borders:
Putin has made it clear that he will not spare civilians or children in his push for power. Those who didn't ask for war are often the ones most affected by it. Doctors Without Borders provide:
"...medical humanitarian assistance to people affected by the war no matter who they are or where they are."
I'll make a donation at the end of each month (or when the amount donated reaches $50), alternating between the two charities.

Performance notes: These glycerin soaps produce abundant, rich lather! But, as with all handmade soaps, they will dissolve quickly if left in water and not properly drained. Be sure to put these on a soap dish or in a container with drainage!
